Lean In

Sheryl Sandberg 2017

maybe you should talk to someone lori go

Sheryl Sandberg started what we basically are living now when it comes to the gender discussions, to female leadership, equal payment. If you trully want to understand more, where these things are rooted in, especially when it comes to the corporate world, this should be the book that can help you navigate your own personal fears. It could help you realize more of the biases that you take as granted and dont even question.

Should you raise your hand in a room full of men, should you apply for a career advancement if you know you want to make a child, or how to ask for help and mentorship from men. It should also empower more women who are in leadership positions to become mentors because they're the ones who know best what you go through while advancing in your career.

Get to know the author

If you're in the corporate world chances are you've heard about this lady, who's been at McKinseys, politics then in Google, and she was elected to Facebook's board of directors, becoming the first woman to serve on its board.

She's the kind of person you would look up to and want to discover more about how she did it in a world ruled by men. Although, such people have some controversy around them, because they're associated with the controversy that wraps up the huge companies they work for. Can't really separate one form the other, but let's not judge and label, and try to learn as much as possible from their experiences.
